Since
1990 we have been inspiring us for the windy hobby. The
whole thing started in
an annual vacation in Neuharlingersiel.
Later
we looked to a kite shop and bought us the first stunt kite.
Soon we realized that the direction was to build the kites yourself.
So
once again we bought lots of material in the kite shop for our
first inflateble kite (Lester Legs).
Over
the years the collection of kites grew.
Our inflateble
kites
Here
we are particularly fascinated by the kites of Peter Lynn and
Martin Lester.
So
it was no surprise, that the Lester Legs in sizes of 3, 6, 8,
and 16 meters (9,8 - 52
ft)
were created.
So
we created an octopus of 30 meters (98 ft) length, two turtles
of 9 meters (29 ft) length and countless bears of 3 and 9 meters
(9,8
and
29
ft) length.
In
2003, arises from 480 sqm ripstop nylon Maja the bee in a length
of 17 meters (56 ft).
A
short time later the Superhero series were created: Batbear, Spiderbear,
Superbear, Captain America and The Flash
The
series of pigs peaked with a 18 meters (59 ft) version.
In
the winter 2007 / 2008 we created Asterix and Obelix.
A
year later, Cacofonix the bard finished.
In
the winter 2009 / 2010 the last Gallic hero Vitalstatistix was
created.
In winter
2011/2012 our biggest kites was created. A Peter Lynn Trilobite
with a total length of 45 meters. (148 ft)
The
last superhero (Iron Bear) will be completed in spring 2014.
Currently,
we travel approximately 15 to 18 kite festivals every year. Primarily
on the German coast.
Fanö
in Denmark, Berck sur Mer in France, Oostende in Belgium, Scheveningen
in the Netherlands, Margate in England, St.Placide,
St.
Honore and Windscape Kite Festival in Canada and of course Kuwait,
India, Dubai and Australia form the highlights.
